Multilayer Image

How To:
In order to create a multilayer image, one will first have to take an image of the background that is without the main subject in it. This is to allow you to be able to erase parts of the layers that will be on top of it. After you have taken the background image, you can now take a wide range of however many images you want of the subject, just as long as you don't have the subject in the same place twice or have them/it overlapping themself/itself between the images. If you do have them overlapping, then that will cause a collision between the images when you put them together. So, have the subject move to various places in the shot where they won't overlap. Also, in order to make sure that all of the images come together well, you will need a tripod in order to keep the camera still because if there is any movement in the camera, it will lead to extreme changes in the overall image because would have to erase a lot more of the images that make the main photograph. After all of the images are taken, you will have to open Photoshop and bring in the background image first. Then, you can add the additional images onto the background image. Thus creating various "layers" on top of the bacakground. You can view these layers on the layers pallet and it allows you to choose what layer you want to view. Now, in order to make the subject from the bottom layers to appear on the top layer, you will have to find the eraser tool and view the one layer that is above another and erase where the subject is in the lower layer, and the subject will appear. You will have to do the erasing on every layer, accept the background of course, until you get to the top layer. Once all of the images of the subject have been erased onto the top layer, you will have to go to the layer ribbon and go down to "flatten image". After that, you will be able to save it, but make sure that it is saved as a JPEG. Then, it is complete.
